Our Journey to the Nest
Two midwives had a passionate dream for kinder, gentler birthing. They worked “with women” and families for a combined timeframe of over fifty years. They heard the needs and expectations of mothers. They searched for answers among the paradigms that already existed. They listened to women. They listened to women… Welcome to our BirthSpace Nest, a haven from the outside world. A sacred space where families and God’s creation are honored and nurtured. Our Nest is a unique concept. Not a hospital. Not a birth center facility. It is a Home Away From Home. A safe landing place for those looking for something different. A new paradigm. A place you can call home for a little while. We are honored to provide care for you and your family as you transition to parenthood or expand your own Nest. We look forward to hearing from you.
Amenities
EXTRA LARGE BIRTH TUB. Spacious and comfortable, with room for the birthing mother-to-be to spread out and relax, or be joined by a partner in the tub.
ACCOMMODATIONS. Queen size Murphy bed for mom, baby, and partner. Many comfortable pillows and nursing pillow are provided, but feel free to bring your own favorite pillow!
FULL KITCHEN. A birthing woman should never be without nourishment. Our kitchen is complete with a full-size refrigerator, stove, and oven. Kitchenware (plates, bowls, utensils, kettle, coffeepot) provided.
IDYLLIC OUTDOOR SPACE. Explore the outdoors, take a nap under the apple tree, and smell the flowers in the gardens.
